SPRING SERIES 2010
The Fourth Race results
A typical light air race that spread the fleet out and took up so much time we didn't have time for a second race.
The joys of summer sailing.
The Third race results.
What a day! The race started in a light westerly which died before we reached the first mark. Then a very lignt southerly helped the fleet round the mark, then died. The forecast North Easterly then filled in from the Chowan River but was challenged by a South Easterly breeze that filled in on the way to the finish.
On the final leg we started with the spinnaker up and finished on a beat. In fact we had to beat to reach every mark on the course.
In spite of that we have had three different winners in the first three races of the series, so the competition is keen for the overall points.
The First and Second Race results
An almost perfect day with an adequate breeze and sunshine allowed us to get two races in and still get back in time for the party.

FALL SERIES 2009
The Fifth and Sixth race results.
We had a great turnout of eight boats considering the cold weather, but the 10-12 knot breeze made for some great sailing even if the direction could only give us two fetches and a run. Matador demonstrated why she is so succesful in the ASSA regattas be winning both races.
The Third and Fourth race results
A depleted field had a really nice sailing day in which to compete in two races. The wind was clocking steadily from North to South through East, so there was a lot of reaching. Frolic had a good day, winning both races comfortably.
The first two races results
Danny had gone by and left us with a great day for racing. Bright sunshine, fluffy clouds and a super breeze from the North West made for close racing and exciting finishes.
Check out some great pictures captured by Steve Mills here.
SPRING SERIES 2009
The Fifth race results
Little or no wind and temperatures in the ninetys tested the resolve of the sailors on this day. Gil and Barbara coaxed Barbara Jean III around the course using every little zephyr and scored a convincing win.
Frolic missed the first mark and were disqualified, but as Ken had just become a new Dad again, he had other things on his mind. Tommy White and crew abandoned the race shortly after the start and went swimming. Probably the best course of action given the circumstances.
Third and Fourth Race Results
We enjoyed a great sailing day with 10- 20 knots of wind from the West South West. Although it was a smaller fleet than last time, the racing was quite close and enjoyed by all.
First and Second Race results can be seen by clicking the link.
The weather was very summer like, but we could have done with a bit more wind from one direction. (We don't care what direction, just make up your mind and stick with it.)
PEANUT REGATTA RESULTS 2008
Our Peanut Regatta Results are available be clicking on the link. We were fortunate to get one light weather race in before the wind gave up all together.
However, once again our social committee and helpers came up trumps and provided a great meal where everyone appeared to have a really good time.
Overall the weather was wonderful and the presence of Elizabeth II from Manteo, gave the harbor a busy feel.

FALL SERIES RESULTS 2008
Races 1&2 held on 8-23-08. A wonderful day to be sailing with a spanking breeze and bright sunshine.
Races 3&4 held on 9-20-08. We were given a good strong northerly wind which provided robust racing in flat seas. Hurrican Hanna had moved our south snag mark closer to EB2, so we sailed a series of 'sausages' to provide an entertaining race.
Races 5&6 held on 10-18-08. A cool Northerly breeze provided two good races in flat seas to finish off the season. The chilly weather led to a somewhat diminished fleet.
PURSUIT RACE 2008
This was held on the 14th of June. Eight boats turned out and the first boat, Iolar with Brian Donnelly, was sent off at 12.00. The other boats followed at their assigned intervals until there was a string of boats all around the course. The course was two triangles and a sausage and the wind held pretty well to allow everyone to finish.
The handicapper was pleased that Ken Atkisson in Frolic, the scratch boat won narrowly from Joe Kenney in Teacher's Pet and Iolar finished a close third.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the experience and I hope that we will get more entries next year for a fun race.

SPRING SERIES RESULTS 2008
Races 5&6 held on 5-17-08. First race saw variable winds in both direction and strength but the SW filled in nicely for the second race leading to the closest finish this season at the front of the fleet.
Races 3&4 held on 5-3-08. Lots of wind again but the fleet stayed together and enjoyed two good races.
Races 1&2 held on 4-12-08. Lots of wind and we escaped before the thunderstorm came through.
PEANUT REGATTA 07
Unfortunately, we did not have much wind for our regatta, which was a great disappointment to us and the competitors that had travelled so far. However, one class managed a start and completed a race and the results are as follows.
